Revelation 13:6-8

⁶ It opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, as well as against his name and his dwelling and all those who live in heaven.

⁷ The beast was also allowed to wage war on the saints and conquer them, and it was given authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation. ⁸ All the inhabitants of the earth will worship it, all those whose names have not been written from the creation of the world^[a] in the book of life belonging to the Lamb who was slain.
